SPECIALIST BOOKSHOPS

In order to help you gather information outside of librairies, here you will find a list of specialist online bookshops. Newspapers from all over the world arrive in Paris. European newspapers are available the kiosks of train stations and airports, while the kiosks around major tourist sites and big hotels provide newspapers from further abroad. You can also consult roughly 15 European dailies at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal and at the BPI.

The French daily newspapers provide a listing of the outings in Paris for the week (Aden in Le Monde, Figaroscope in Le Figaro). Three (French language) publications are exclusively devoted to events taking place around the city: Pariscope, L’Officiel des Spectacles and Zurban. Télérama lists and comments on current cultural activities and provides programmes of events. English, German, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, African or Canadian… there are in the region of twenty international bookshops in Paris.

There, you will be able to find the classics and the latest foreign authors. On the website of the Office of tourism in Paris you will find quite a comprehensive list of international bookshops and press outlets. Below are some examples:

Other schools like ACCORD LANGUES, enable you to learn the French language in combination with the law, tourism, art and economics.

In a more conventional way, you can learn French while following courses to the university or while following other types of formations (art, kitchen, drawing etc).

You can also supplement your training of French while strolling in the bookshops or the libraries to document you.
